Our new connections map and animation shows just some of the UK’s tourist hotspots that would be within easier reach once East West Rail (EWR) is up and running. With its intersections across the UK’s key railway lines, some of the nation’s most loved destinations would be accessible by train, offering more options and shorter journey times.
Whether it’s a trip to witness the magical River of Light festival on Liverpool’s waterfront; exploring the medieval narrow lanes of York or a cosy escape to the Cotswolds or the Lakes, EWR’s key links with the UK’s major railway lines would bring some of the most loved tourist destinations within easier reach.
